2 Northern Pikes in a Kayak on Black River
During a peaceful day of Paddling on Black River with the WLGC crew, I decided to place a few cache of my own. What a great place, we should all have a chance to paddle this river.
The name for these caches comes from our sights during this paddle.
On route, we passed a man, fishing with a mepps spinner bait, on one of those sit on top Kayaks. He had a large net, a tackle box and a bunch of other fishing supplies. This guy meant business.
I asked, but expected the same old answer, "No, not today" or "A couple of small bass / sunfish, catfish". You know the drill.
BUT, what he said and did shocked me.
He said, "YES!" Then elaborated, "A couple of nice pikes" and reached over the edge of the Kayak to brig up a chain with what appeared to be a 3 and 4 pound pike. I was shocked. Bring Your Fishing Rod!
THIS IS A LETTERBOX CACHE, THAT CONTAINS A SELF-INKING STAMP.
PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE STAMP.
(THAT’S A LONG PADDLE JUST TO REPLACE THE STAMP)
Anyway, enjoy your paddle!
