That Man Cut Down My Cache on Black River
During a peaceful day of Paddling on Black River with the WLGC crew, I decided to place a few cache of my own. What a great place, we should all have a chance to paddle this river.
The name for these caches comes from our sights during this paddle.
Paddling along, we rounded a corner with Mrs. WLGC in the lead (she's always in the lead). Mr. WLGC and I came next, and spotted two men on the shore doing a bit of wood cutting. Mrs. WLGC looked at the two stumps sticking out of the shoreline bank, two freshly cut cedar stumps, and said (pointing), it was there.
I puzzled, scratching my head. Then came the words I have never heard before in my life, from the men on shore.
"You looking for the Geocache?"
Yes!
"I have it right here! We cut down the tree and thought it was a lure. We find a lot of lures in our trees." We went on the computer to check out the picture on the page, and found out it was a geocache. Here!" he said as he walked to the shore. I paddled over and he handed it to me." That never happens.
I should buy a Lottery Ticket!
THIS IS A LETTERBOX CACHE, THAT CONTAINS A SELF-INKING STAMP.
PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE STAMP.
(THAT’S A LONG PADDLE JUST TO REPLACE THE STAMP)
Anyway, enjoy your paddle!
