Geocache Description:

While out here today walking up Gray Butte and checking on a couple caches I found this little spot to put in another cache in the G-S series.

G-S#1 is at the Gray Butte trailhead parking lot and G-S#33 is after the foot bridge at Smith Rocks State Park. It’s about a 8 ½ mile hike one way and you can either hike both ways or just do a threw hike. We usually use two geomobiles (one at Smith Rocks and one at Gray Butte) so we can just do the threw hike.

To get to the Gray Butte Trailhead Take Lone Pine road to road NF-1395 and follow your GPS to the 1st cache and you will be at the Gray Butte Trailhead Parking lot. You can also park at The gate if it's closed or if its open you can drive up to the top of the hill and catch the trail from there. also you can park at the cole loop trailhead and hike up from there. there is quite a few caches out in this are so you can spend the day out in this area grabbing caches.

There are some great views along the Gray butte trail hike like the Creson Viewpoint that is about 1.9 miles from the Trailhead. You can also hike up Gray Butte or Burma Butte on your way down to Smith Rocks.

This is a log only cache so dont forget a writing stick and as always replace cache as you found it and have a great hike.

Congratulations to Bubblegummers on the FTF
