This road used to run parallel to the old A1, the main road from London to the North. Now it is a quiet backwater. The high walls along the riverside are to stop the flooding which happened all too frequently until fairly recently. It still floods by the bridge after heavy rain but at least the houses are not under water any more.
This container was given to us at Christmas by one of our grandsons - hence the name!
After finding this cache, as we hope you will do, carry on along the road past the pumping station and turn right onto the public footpath to find more of our caches.
