The original cache was likely washed away in a flood, so now a new one is in place. Similar location to the original but not exactly the same.
Enjoy a pleasant stroll on the trail from Salem's Rotary Park, or splash in the shallows of the river. This small but lovely park is shady and welcoming. Salem has many parks, but this is one of our favorites. NOTE: be careful of poison ivy near the edge of the walking path.
Pro tip: When replacing the log into the bison tube, roll it tightly and stick it into the cap first, then slide the other end of the log into the main tube and screw on the cap. This keeps the log from unrolling too much to screw the cap on. :)
