If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it still make a noise?
While placing this cache, I did hear a tree fall...and it did make a noise. Several noises actually. It started as a slow, yet loud CRREEAAK... Then a SNAP, followed by that unmistakable sound of gravity doing its thing. Never saw the falling tree, only heard it. And the birds were immediately gossiping about it. GZ surely made a smaller creaky sound at one point and I wonder if anyone was around to hear that one?
Oh, the nearby creek, by the way, does not make a creaky sound
The nearby creek, instead, offers a soothing trickle as the water gently whispers by GZ. Consider this cache a lovely hike-n-grab. Enjoy.
UPDATE October 2021: The tree that fell on the nearby walkway was not the tree I heard while placing that cache. Anyone standing at GZ when that titan fell would have seen and heard it. Yowzers.
