This is the first cache in a series of park and grabs placed in tribute to the Nyack Volunteer Fire Department -- celebrating over 150 years of "Neighbors Helping Neighbors." Each cache will be hidden within view of the fire department we are honoring, but you must solve the puzzle to obtain the final coordinates.
Rockland is the last county in NYS to have a 100% volunteer fire department, and Nyack is the oldest department in the county, with 8 different fire companies. Orangetown Fire Co. No. 1 has been serving the community since 1834.
The cache can be conveniently accessed from either Depot Street or the Esposito Trail. It is within close proximity of shops and restaurants on Broadway, and a playground nearby on Depot Street.
