This is the first cache in a series of park and grabs placed in tribute to the Volunteer Fire Departments of Rockland County -- celebrating over 150 years of "Neighbors Helping Neighbors." Each cache will be hidden within view of the fire department we are honoring, but you must solve the puzzle to obtain the final coordinates.
Rockland is the last county in NYS to have a 100% volunteer fire department, and West Nyack Fire Department has been serving its community since 1910. There is another cache in a nearby park, as well as a historical marker for the Clarksville Inn down the road - still bearing the name of when this area was called Clarksville, and the area served as a stopping place for stage coaches and travelers to and from the Port of Nyack.
