Don't jump you can make it without getting wet. Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

5beatriff: The cache has been in this location for 12 years. I think it is funny the farmer next to it wants it gone but no worries. I tried it for a bit on the other side of the ditch but it was not happy there so this one is gone. Thanks for playing. I will be out in a couple of weeks to pick up but if you get there in the mean time please grab it and claim a find.. just make sure to take it with you.

Geocache Description:

This area was one of the first areas we cached when we started out. It was exciting to adopt the PB series from mcwilli, but we noticed most of the regular cachers had found the caches and the number of finders was dropping. Add to that some of the locations were suffering from overgrowth. So we felt it was time to refresh the series. Some caches have moved slightly and a few have remained in place because the hide was too good to let go.  New waypoints were averaged and we are good to go.

The area is named for the Brunswick Canning Company. They had three, the one located near here at Canoe Pass canned Salmon until 1930. Then it became a fish camp for Imperial Canning.

This last time we biked the trail we ran into one of the Swenson’s who owned land along here until it was appropriated by the government. You might notice the Swenson’s Walk sign by the parking just before the point near 30b. St. This sign comes from the walk in Ladner which was named after the Swenson family. When the sign was to be replaced at Swenson Walk they gave the family the old sign.

This lovely walk is located south of Vancouver.  Brunswick Point is a nice walk along the dykes of the Fraser River and a popular place for bird watchers.

This cache is along  River Road and is here ane there. Watch for the 3 hour limits.

If you park at Wellington Point Park Delta you can pick up the whole series plus a few others. From here you will walk or bike 14 km return. You may also park at 30b St at River Road. Notice they have just added a 3-hour parking limit. This part of the trail is 10 km return.

This trail is wide and well maintained and usually not overgrown, but I must say when we road here June 2020 it was really overgrown.

The wind can be fierce through here. We have at times had to walk our bikes as it was like riding up hill the wind was so strong. This cache is no longer wheel chair friendly. It did not last long in it's first hide so moved it further out of the way.

Bring binoculars as the bird life here is amazing. At times the fields are full of Snow Geese.

There are no washrooms! None!
