Located along the Vancouver Convention Centre's waterfront walkway is a memorial to the workers of British Columbia, which demonstrates the increasing diversity of workers' skills from pre-colonial times through to the development of British Columbia and into the province’s future.
Occupations may have guided the development of British Columbia, but individuals are what shaped the story of this province.
Text-etched laminated wood elements reach out towards the water at an increasing angle and length like a wave, which compares the energy of a wave to the growing diversity and complexity of British Columbia's workforce.
A close examination of this public art piece will be required to locate the coordinates to the nearby geocache only a short walk away. The field puzzle and cache find should be able to be accomplished within half-an-hour.
51 cedar planks reach out from the green roof of the convention centre. You will need to locate ten occupations etched onto these planks to determine the coordinates for the final stage.

Count which specific plank each occupation is etched into to reveal the coordinates. The longest plank (closest to the water) equals plank #1 while the shortest plank closest to GZ and the info plaques equals plank #51. To provide further clarification Salvager is written on plank #1 and Explorer is written on plank #51. Please note that occupations are etched on the underside of the overhead planks as well as those on the slope of the green roof.
