Every year, typically the last weekend in August the little town of Metamora holds the Metamora Hot Air Balloon Festival. I’ve created a geo-art balloon and placed it in the field that all the hot air balloons set up. Sometime between 5:00 and 6:00pm the balloons will launch off the ground! It is an amazing sight and I invite you to attend. (I would definitely suggest getting there early to get the best spot to watch). My family and I are usually helping set up the balloons. Come find us and say “HI!” (I just might have a souvenir for you).
The only controls in operating a Hot Air Balloon are UP and DOWN. To get to this cache you’ll have to figure out the sequence of the 3 switches. If you get the sequence right the light will light up. You will have to hold the 3 switches in the corect order to operate the UP DOWN switch. After signing the log please re-turn to the up position. Please watch to make sure you don’t take it up to high.
If you’ve completed the geo-art you’ll be able to access the locked door of this cache.
