Höganloft är namnet på villan som ligger närmast denna cache. Vi befinner oss i den gamla kulturbygden mellan gårdarna Elgesta och Kättsta i Husby-Ärlinghundra församling. Nu domineras platsen av motorvägen och flygplatsen, men en gång var detta en livaktig jordbruksbygd. Fortfarande brukas åkrarna i området, men antalet invånare här är betydligt lägre än det var en gång i tiden.
Gården Elgesta på andra sidan motorvägen är en välbevarad gårdsmiljö som har varit bebygd ända sedan sent 900-tal. Elgesta är också omnämnt på en vacker runhäll i Nora i Danderyds kommun, och bör alltså ha varit en viktig gård redan på vikingatiden.
Höganloft is the name of the residential house close to the cache. We are now between the farmsteads Elgesta and Kättsta in Husby-Ärlinghundra parish. Nowadays the area is dominated by the motorway and the airport, but earlier this used to be an important agricultural area. The fields are still cultivated, but the number of inhabitants is significantly lower than it used to be.
The farmstead Elgesta on the other side of the motorway is a well kept farm that has been inhabited since late 10th century. The name is also mentioned on a beautiful runic inscription in Nora, Danderyd, and must consequently have been an important village already during the viking ages.
