Geocache Description:

This cache is a lock clear container located along the trails of the Montezuma Aqueduct Trails. This cache will bring you to the original Erie Canal where Clinton's Ditch, Lock 62 was located. This lock was in use from the years 1819-1854, now that's pretty cool! After finding this cache be sure to explore other trails in order to see other stone land markings from the Erie Canal. Safe Travels!

When you come along this cache, you'll most likely pass by Trail #3 when you walk down towards Clinton's ditch. However, the cache is on the opposite side of the ditch. There's two ways this cache can be accessed. One way is taking a left to go through the ditch, but there's likely to be standing water, so in case you don't have your boots, then use option two. This second access point is to travel down trail #3, this will lead you to a sign with trail #10, take a left from this number sign. This trail will lead you to another sign with trail #7, you will take trail #7 in order to collect the cache. Take the same trail back or continue on this path!
