Placing this cache took 3 trips into the woods; to set it up; try and fail to get codes for Reverse WIG and finally to get the codes and pick up a note pad that I dropped on trip #2. Success! Have fun and bring plenty of water.
A Garmin GPSMap 78SC was used to determine the coordinates and validate the accuracy. However, you may find because the tree cover is extensive; the GPS’s will jump around a lot. Just for clarification; the Lone Star Hiking Trail is the right branch as you enter from the trailhead sign and the Lone Star Trail or Forest Road 286 is the left branch of the trail. Bicyclists use the trail that this cache is hidden along; please give them the right of way.
The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates but it is a great place to park. You may begin your search from any point in the world!
Follow the instructions in the description to get started.
This Wherigo is easy. Once you have the cartridge on your gps device it becomes a virtual version of the "Reverse Cache Box." You will need to enter the key listed below (the 3 numbers) that are unique to each reverse wherigo. Once you have done this you will then be able to run the cartridge which tells you the distance to the cache, but not the bearing. You may begin your search from any spot in the world. You may use this cartridge on any reverse wherigo that uses the same cartridge page created by -Waldmeister.
These are the 3 numbers that you will enter as the "key" so to speak that is unique to each individual reverse wherigo and will not give you coordinates but rather indicate the distance to the final/geocache. Your task is to find the geocache using the box as little as possible for checking the distance.
