Sunriver is a fantastic vacation resort community. Anabel, one of my granddaughters, learned to bicycle here in Sunriver. She was a bit hesitant to peddle for long distances until we started biking to geocaches. Pretty soon she was bicycling for miles without even realizing it. The hunt for all of those geocache treasures was habit forming. What a great activity for families vacationing in a premier resort community. Enjoy.
Fort Rock Park is enjoyed by hundreds of people daily. Sittting on a high point in Sunriver, this park includes tennis and pickleball courts, covered picnic area, playing fields including baseball and soccer, a sand volleyball court, and a paved walking/biking path around the park.
This cache requires geocachers to walk about 100-150 yards from the parking lots along paved paths. A slightly elevated location provides views of the playing field and sand. Pines provide some lovely shade from the sun. This is a small cache, but one must look closely or it is easily missed with a one time glance.
