Enjoy a walk or a ride along the Ted Smout Memorial Bridge. It is currently the third longest bridge in Australia. At an amazing 2.74 kilometers long, it stretches the full length of Bramble Bay. Ted Smout was Queensland's oldest surviving WWI veteran. He lived in Sandgate and died in 2004. 11 July 2020 marks the 10 year anniversary of the opening of the Ted Smout Memorial Bridge.

I love this area at night, but it is equally beautiful at sunrise and sunset. Irrespective of when you visit, the views are stunning and you are encouraged to share photos in your logs.
