Use parking at the public beach on Lakehurst Rd. County 37. Unload and use the parking area. Read the signs for information. Roads around the lake that are posted are controlled by the cottage association for their use only.
I have been placing caches on Sandy Lake since 2014. Davey Jones was my first underwater cache. Due to the clear water on a calm day it is easy to see. It also is one of the few non-paper logs.
To date I have placed 44 caches around and in the lake, not counting the new ones in 2020. The number of finds for the lake is over 1735.
Enjoy the use of the lake and wave to the cottagers, they too have made this possible for so many years. It is very possible that you will see a red Old Town kayak on the lake, come over and see me.
