As you walk through the Bert Flinn trails, you can often start to see interesting shapes and structures made from the trees. This multi-cache will take you to two of these Wild Houses!
The first stage is located on the North Starz trail, which can be accessed from the Bert Flinn loop, or directly from the parking lot at Eagle Mountain Middle School or the intersection of Dogwood and Hummingbird Drive. North Starz is a mountain biking trail, so beware of bikers, especially during the warmer months.
Stage 1- Ladder on the Roof: (N 49° 18.286' W 122° 50.591')
This stage will take you to the first wild "house." Whoever lives here must have had to put everything away quickly, because they left their ladder on the roof! Once you find this house, look for the place where the walking sticks are kept. The latitude of the next stage is engraved onto one of them.
Stage 2- The Fireplace: (__________ W 122° 50.512')
The second (and final) stage will take you to a wild house with a nice outdoor "fireplace." The owners of this house must also have been in a hurry, as the logs in this fireplace haven't even been lit. You should take a careful look at them (but please don't light them!) The fireplace's side is seen from the trail, so once you spot it, you will have to go off of the trail to get to the cache.
Please re-hide everything as it was found, stay safe, and have fun!
