Take a stroll through Mt Baker Park, named after mountain Kulshan (settler interpretation of Lummi and Nooksack names for the mountain), renamed Mt. Baker by European settlers. On a clear day you can see it, over 100 miles away. If you have time after finding this cache, walk down the path to the water where, on a clear day, you can glimpse the snowy peak.
This camoflauged geocache is hidden where we imagine acrophobic tree fairy might live... or the kind of hideout you might have loved to play in when you were a child. (At the time of hiding, there were some little structures built of branches nearby - please don't destroy them, but leave them for their builders or other children, fairies & young at heart to enjoy.)
Before you leave, stop to admire the kaleidescope green of the great green trees and the sunlight dappling through. Take a breathe and thank our tree friends for all they give us.
