On the way back from the beautiful rocky knob of Curry ridge, the Bernie crew paused to hide this cache. As soon as we stopped moving we were suddenly mobbed by thick swarms of aggressive mosquitoes!  We dubbed this little creek mosquito haven.  🦟Â
After quickly gathering the coordinates and stashing the cache, we were on our way before we lost too much hemoglobin to the pesky fliers. 🦟
Don't be afraid-- it's not always that bad.  But if you come in mid-June, I suggest bug dope (or at least long sleeves)!  🦟
This spot is less than a mile from the campground, an easy stroll in the woods on a good trail. Â I highly suggest you continue on to the lovely views of Curry ridge and the rocky knob a few gentle miles up the trail. Â
Â
This should be a quick find as you pause at the bridge before heading on to greater adventures. Please let me know if the coordinates need correction-(I fear the 🦟 may have interfered with the GPS signal on the day it was placed).Â
There's room for small items and trackables.  Always be safe and watch for wildlife.  CITO if you find any trash along the way. Â
Cache placed under AK State Parks permit #15-KA-1994.
