מבצר קקון, אשר נבנה במקור על ידי האבירים הטמפלרים, נכבש על ידי הממלוכים בשנת 1260. חורבות הכנסייה, אשר הפכה לאחר מכן למסגד, נשמרו במצב טוב יחסית, אך כפי שמורה השילוט, עדיף שלא להיכנס.
ניתן להיכנס למבצר, רק אנא הימנעו מטיפוס על החומות.
בשטח הפארק הלאומי נמצאת גם אנדרטה לזכר חללי חטיבת אלכסנדרוני שנלחמו במלחמת העצמאות בשנת 1948.
המטמון אינו בחורבות אך הוא נמצא בתוך גבולות הפארק הלאומי. אין שער או דמי כניסה, אז תרגישו חופשי לבקר בכל עת.

Fort Qaqun, originally built by the Templar Knights, was conquered by the Mamluks in the year 1260. The ruins of the Church, which later became a Mosque, are in relatively good condition, though according to the plaque, it's advised not to enter.
You can enter the fort though, just avoid climbing the walls.
This national park land is also home to a monument to the fallen of the Alexandroni Brigade in the Israeli War of Independence in 1948.
The cache is not in the ruins but it is within the area of the national park. The are no amenities nor is there a gate or entrance fee, so feel free to visit at any time.
