This is a companion cache to my previous entry "Tragedy in the Tunnel". It looks at the starting point of the complicated system that brought logs to Half Moon Lake for storage and milling. After you find the cache take a moment and look across.....across the river and across about 130 years to the covered log flume that sent timber and water surging through the West Side of Eau Claire....sometimes with tragic results.

The difficulty rating for this is up a bit. You'll not have to walk very far but it is over very uneven ground and rubble. As to the difficulty of the "hide", well I encourage you to try it first without the hint.
