This is part of the VIEW SERIES. Which is a collection of locations that I find can be beautiful during certain times of the day. During our day to day routines between work, school, life and family, we manage to miss the simple beauty that is around us. This is a chance to pause and see that beauty. Sometimes you get to look up to enjoy the view. Sometimes you get to look down to appreciate the view.
Located along the Mulberry River, this recreational site is a part of Braselton that the town has designated to protect and preserve for its natural beauty.
Mulberry RiverWalk consists of miles of meandering walking paths showcasing perennial gardens, footbridges and picnic areas along the River for the public to enjoy. Along the trail, you'll happen upon a monument marking the spot where four North Georgia counties converge, including Gwinnett, Barrow, Hall and Jackson.
A trail along the banks of the scenic Mulberry River can be accessed by a gravel parking lot on Thompson Mill Rd near Hwy 211. A short bike ride brings you to a beautiful spot to pause and enjoy the falls. A short walk from the falls brings you to Braselton's historically reminiscent bridge connecting the park with the township neighborhoods. One hundred yards away you'll arrive at the 4 counties marker, a granite monument denoting the intersection of Barrow, Gwinnett, Hall & Jackson counties all within the town limits. Sidewalk access to the trail continues along to a quiet picnic area. The trail continues along the steepening banks to climb to its terminus.
