Geocache Description:

This cache is in Memory of my Daddy (Arthur Lee "Bug" Brady) for Father's Day. He was a special man loved by all. Whether related or not he was "Uncle Bug" to everybody. Each item in the cache represents him in some manner. He was a hunter, fisher, animal farmer, gardener, Carpenter by trade, hammock buddy, fabulous father, dedicated husband, harmonica player, Army serviceman, (Korea), Christian. Although we didn't have much we had all we needed. We all worked as a family to grow our own food and raise our own meat. We even milked our cow, (of which we made cheeses and butter out of too), We had chickens, so therefore we had plenty of eggs. We planted humongous gardens so we could feed the neighborhood too. Daddy hunted for wildgame and fished as well. He was a provider and enjoyed the farm life as well.

He was actually my Uncle. I was adopted at the age of 18 months old. My biological mother was his sister. She was not able to take care of me so he and Mama (my aunt) took me in. They had a daughter of their own. Later in life another of his sisters' 2 daughters came to live with us too because their Mama passed away.

I love the way he treated me as his own and spent so much time with me. We were always together and we did everything together. I was his little sidekick. When I was very small he brought me a nail apron and small hammer and "we" built fences together amongst other things. We would rest by snuggling in a hammock. I loved the way he smelled of sawdust when he would get home from work. He was a very respected Carpenter.

We hunted, fished and trapped together. (Although he would never kill anything as long as I was with him because he knew I didn't like that.) It was all about spending time together. He would later sneak back off and go hunting alone. He taught me that just a regular aluminum boat with no motor - was the best way to fish. He taught me how to paddle a boat and how to actually fish.  He was my best best friend. Fast forward and he taught me how to drive a manual shift vehicle. Still to this day I have 2 of those becuase I love to drive them.

One time he taught me how to whistle. Once I mastered it, He told me not to do it anymore. I was shocked and asked why?He informed me that a whistling woman and crowing hen would always come to no good end. I whistled anyway.

Later in life he became ill with Alzheimer's. Oh what a horrible disease. We saw it engulf him and change him altogether. It was devastating to us all. This disease progressively got worse and we had no choice but put him in a VA Nursing Home. I was astounded at the love those nurses had for him there. He might would not remember everyone when we were all there but he remembered how to garden. I was so thankful to the nurses, etc because they let him plant a little garden in the fenced off back "yard" at the Nursing Home. He was on the locked ward but there was some room outside for a small garden. He grew a few flowers but he mainly green Mustard Greens. (You can take the man out of the country but you can't take the country out of the man!) My favorite thing was that there was a nurse there that would take the greens home and cook them and bring them back to him cooked. How precious is that? There was a nurse there that refused to retire until he passed away. When he took his last breath (I was holding his hand until the bitter in) she looked at us and informed us that she could retire now. She had promised him she would not leave until he did. That touched my heart so deep.

After his death they found a lot of "Hot Wheel" cars in his room. Mama was told he was hoarding these cars but the funny part is that everytime he would come home to eat (Fried Fish - HIs favorite) every weekend he was "stealing" them from his great grandson and taking them back with him. No one could figure out how this child was losing all his cars. Daddy told someone he got them from "that boy". He would also toss a ball back and forth with this same boy too. (This boy is one of the ones that helped me put this together. He is Canth3aru. His mama is JuneBug624 Daddy's grand daughter)

When he passed away I wanted everyone to tell a story about Uncle Bug at his service, but we did not get a chance for that to happen. That is why I am doing this 'In Memory of" cache in honor of him. Plus I miss him so dang much!

If anyone finds this cache that knew him please share your story in the online log so I can read it.

You are looking for a medium canister full of items that represent him. Each item is listed in the log book with their meanings.

Inside the canister is also a Travel Bug (one that had been found by my daughter charli-belle, Daddy's grand daughter).

I think you will find our hiding spot a bit entertaining. But beware, It is being guarded by the cutest guard dog ever.

Please be courteous of any visitors there. There may be times that Muggles will be around but normally there isn't anyone near by.

There is parking available there. You can drive fairly close to the location.

Beware after a rain it may be wet there.

You will be right dab in the middle of what we call "Bradyville" named after our family name. There is even a sign at a cousin's house stating that. :)

Peace Out and Happy Caching.

**I wanted to add that the container you are looking for is handmade and it may be a little hard to open at first. It is in a very unique holder and camouflaged. Please do not take it out of the holder. You should be able to pick up the holder and all and turn the screw top lid of the container. I apologize if it is hard to open. When closing it back please do not screw it really tight. It should loosen up after a few times of it being opened. If there is a problem please don't hesitate to let me know. This is our first cache to put out and we are learning. We hope this cache is as enjoyable for you finding it as it was for us putting it out.

CONGRATULATIONS TO CAZAYOUX - FTF.
