Cette cache est accessible uniquement par voie nautique.
Lors de votre périple il faudra vous rendre aux coordonnées puis... le dernier à l'eau est une poule mouillée ! 🐔🌊
La cache se situe sous l'eau, au pied d'un des piquets délimitant les roselières de la grande île. Inutile (et en plus interdit) franchir cette limite.
Reste à trouver LE piquet. 😅
Il se trouve aux coordonnées, avec plein d'autres piquets.
La boîte est au fond, attachée au piquet par un mousqueton inox : il suffit de déclipser le mousqueton qui est attaché à une boucle de cordelette.
Ceci étant ma 1ère cache-aquatique posée, je ne sais pas trop si l'étanchéité sera de la partie. 🤔🤞
Je compte sur vous pour attendre d'être remontés au sec pour ouvrir et logger la cache.
- Prévoyez un stylo bic car c'est du papier rite in the rain.
- Ne refermez pas le contenant vissable à fond les ballons car ça esquinte le joint.
- Pour la pérennité de la cache, replanquez le tout comme vous l'avez trouvé, merci. Vérifiez bien que vous avez re-clipé le mousqueton à la boucle de cordelette et pas à un brin libre 😅

- (2020/09/13) Pour qu'elle ne soit pas trouvée et supprimée par les moldus, essayez de bien la recacher pour qu'elle ne reflotte pas vers le haut, merci 🙃

Quelques informations :
Le Lac d'Aiguebelette a la réputation d'être le lac le plus chaud des environs ! Quel bonheur de s'y baigner en été. Sa profondeur maxi est de 71m, mais rassurez-vous, vous n'aurez pas besoin de plonger si profondément pour trouver cette cache !
Grâce à une réglementation particulière, les bateaux à moteur thermique sont interdits sur le lac, ce qui le rend plus paisible que ses grands voisins. On croise donc plutôt des paddles, kayaks, pédalos, avirons et barques à moteur électrique ainsi que de nombreux nageurs. Ce lac est très peu sujet au vent (excepté le redoutable Farou, ponctuellement), ce qui explique l'absence de voiliers et de planches à voile. Par contre à proximité des plages on croise plutôt des engins de plage et même des bouées licorne 🦄 ! Je vous suggère de sélectionner une embarcation plus fiable pour vous rendre aux coordonnées !

Des vestiges palafittiques existent, notamment au sud du lac, sur la langue de terre qu'on aperçoit sur les vues satellites, juste au nord du château de Lépin. Attention : bien qu'il soit tentant et agréable de patauger dans cette zone aux eaux peu profondes, il est préférable de s'abstenir à cet endroit car il y a des restes de pilotis au fond de l'eau. Ils font partie des vestiges d'anciens villages. Ce site est classé à l'unesco depuis 2011 et le fait de piétiner les restes des pilotis détruit petit à petit ce site historique.
Le lac comprend deux îles : la grande est accessible par la plage à l'est ou par un petit chenal au nord. Il est possible d'y "beacher", profitez-en ! Vous pouvez ensuite la parcourir à pied par un sentier qui vous mènera à proximité d'une autre geocache.
La plus petite île est interdite d'accès car il s'agit d'un espace de protection de la faune. On aperçoit de nombreux oiseaux qui peuplent le lac : foulque macroule, grèbe huppé, canard colvert, cygne tuberculé, héron cendré, poule d'eau. 🦆
Des mouettes se montrent également et sur les rives on peut apercevoir les jolies bergeronnettes et leur vol caractéristique.
Le lac et les îles sont entourés de roselières. L'accès y est interdit afin de protéger les oiseaux, ainsi que les écrevisses et les poissons qui y vivent, s'y nourrissent ou viennent y frayer.
Des piquets sont donc installés tout autour des roselières afin de marquer les zones au-delà desquelles on ne doit pas naviguer ni même aller nager. Merci de respecter cet interdit pour préserver cet écosystème ! 💚

The cache is located underwater, below one of the poles delimiting the reedbeds of the big island. It is useless (and moreover forbidden) to cross this boundary.
All you need to do now is to find THE pole. 😅
It stands at the coordinates, with many other poles.
The box is at the bottom, attached to the pole by a stainless steel carabiner: you just have to unclip the carabiner which is attached to a loop of cord.
This being my 1st underwater geocache, I'm not sure how waterproof it will be. 🤔🤞
I'm counting on you to wait until you are out of the water with dry hands to open and log the cache.
- Have a bic pen ready as this is "rite in the rain" paper.
- Do not close the screw container too hard because it would damage the seal.
- For the sake of the cache, re-hide everything as you found it, thank you. Make sure you have reattached the carabiner to the cord loop and not to a loose strand 😅

Some information:
Aiguebelette Lake is thought to be the warmest lake around! What a pleasure to swim there in summer. Its maximum depth is 71m, but don't worry, you won't need to dive so deep to find this cache!
Thanks to a special regulation, boats with combustion engines are forbidden on the lake : that makes it far more peaceful than its big neighbours. Instead, paddles, kayaks, pedalos, rowings and electrically powered boats can be seen, as well as many swimmers. You won't feel much wind around here (except for the dreaded Farou, from time to time), which explains the absence of sailboats and windsurfers. On the other hand, near the beaches, you can find beach equipment and even unicorn buoys 🦄 ! I suggest you select a more reliable watercraft to get to coordinates!

Palafittic remains exist, most notably to the south of the lake, on the patch of land seen on the satellite views, just north of Lepin Castle. Warning: although it is tempting and pleasant to wade in this shallow water area, it is best to refrain from doing so as there are remains of piles at the bottom of the water. They are part of the remains of ancient villages. This site has been classified by unesco since 2011 eand the fact that the remaining piles are being trampled on is gradually destroying this historic site.
The lake has two islands: the large one is accessible from the beach to the east or from a small channel to the north. It is possible to "beach" there, take advantage of it! You can then walk around it on a path that will take you close to another geocache.
The smallest island is off limits because it is a wildlife protection area. Many birds can be seen inhabiting the lake: coot, great crested grebe, mallard, mute swan, grey heron, moorhen. 🦆
Gulls also show up and on the shores you can see the pretty wagtails and their distinctive flight.
The lake and the islands are surrounded by reed beds. Access to them is forbidden in order to protect the birds, as well as the crayfish and fish that live, feed or spawn there.
Poles are therefore placed all around the reedbeds to mark the areas beyond which you must not navigate or even swim. Thank you for respecting this prohibition to preserve this ecosystem! 💚
