The published coordinates take you to the start of a memorial pathway between Brougham Street and the playground in Fairfield Park. Along the path there are numerous mosaics/pavers that families and artists have worked on together as a memorial and tribute after the death of a child.
The pathway was started to create a space where people can go to reflect and remember their children in a peaceful, family friendly setting that isn't a graveyard. It is simply a place to come and remember with love.
A dove tree, which has flowers in the shape of butterflies, is also planted nearby.
At the start of the pathway there are three plaques where you will find the answers to the questions below.
The cache can be found at S 41 16.ABC E 173 16.DEF where:
A = the number of tiles that make up the square to the right of the Project Butterfly plaque minus the number of butterflies on the Project Butterfly plaque.
B = the number associated with “Concrete Pumping Limited”.
C = the total number of fairies on the plaques
D = number of letters in the missing word from "NZ Communities"
E = number of three letter words in the top plaque
F = the number of named artists to the right of the Project Butterfly plaque
Checksum: A+B+C+D+E+F=24
Take the time for a walk along the path before going to look for the cache which is a short walk, bike or drive away.
