When I started geocaching it became immediately obvious to me that geocaching provides a "key" to places on our planet that one normally wouldnt be aware of. This cache celebrates that fact for two reasons:
1) Those who cache will be introduced to an amazing hike that many dont know even exists. There are several more caches higher up this hill so once you reach this one you have no excuse but to enjoy the adventure and follow the trail of caches onwards and upwards.Believe me the views are stupendous on a good day !
2) Those who take up this challenge will be introduced to a spot where "jumping with joy" is the normal and expected behaviour at this point ( see below picture ).
.
So if you would like to record your visit with a silmilar photo this is what you must do:
1) Enroll a friend as your official photographer and position him so that he is slightly lower than you are.
2) Stand on the rock with the mountains behind you. Practice your leap a couple of times.
3) When you are ready - Count one,two and three
4) On two the photorapher must press his "take picture" button in rapid fire ( burst) mode.
5) On three you must leap towards the sky.
6) As you reach the sky pull your legs up and make sure your arms are out - stretched. Dont forget to smile.
7) Sift through the photos and choose the best one.
The container is small but big enough for small trackables. No permit is required to walk this trail though its always recommended to let people know where you are going.
Enjoy the experience and above all remember - take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints !
