En la cabecera del barranco de Fornocal se encuentra esta impresionante oquedad natural, buena muestra del modelado kárstico característico de la Sierra de Guara.
Simplemente con la fuerza erosiva del viento y del agua, y a base de miles de años, se ha esculpido esta sorprendente formación geológica.
La ruta senderista parte del pueblo de Colungo pasando por los barrancos de Pilones, Arruellos y Tacho. Todo el camino está bien señalizado pero por su duración (unas 4 horas ida y vuelta) y su desnivel de unos 540 metros, requiere de una buena forma física.
Otra posibilidad, con un vehículo apto para ir por caminos de tierra, es subir por la pista de Suelves en dirección del pinar de la Cunarda (aproximadamente 2,5 km), y recorrer unos centenares de metros por la senda.
Hay que llevar agua. Atención con los precipicios.

At the head of the Fornocal ravine is this impressive natural arch, a good example of the characteristic karst modeling of the Sierra de Guara.
Simply with the erosive force of wind and water, and based on thousands of years, this amazing geological formation has been sculpted.
The hiking trail departs from the village of Colungo passing through the ravines of Pilones, Arruellos and Tacho. The whole path is well signposted but due to its duration (about 4 hours round trip) and its gradient of about 540 meters, it requires good physical shape.
Another possibility, with a vehicle suitable for going on dirt roads (4x4), is to go up the Suelves track in direction to the Cunarda pine forest (approx. 2,5 km), and walk a hundred meters along the path.
You have to bring water. Be carefull with precipices.
