Geocache Description:

You are seeking a magnetic Whizbang with nothing but a logsheet. You may need to go over, under, sideways, and down to retrieve this one. Yet, it is a simple hide.  Plenty of parking nearby. Cache is in a relatively private area.

HISTORY:  The massive renovation is almost complete. Colonial Gardens was a former entertainment complex and site of Louisville's first zoo. In the 1940's, big bands were featured. Local folklore claims that both Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley played here at unscheduled performances. The year was 1956 and Elvis was visiting his grandparents who lived nearby. Colonial Gardens was the premiere beer garden in South Louisville in its final days.
