I did a series of challenge caches while I was in the South Island of NZ, by Natalie247. I had so much fun doing these and wondered if I could 'bring' these up to the North Island and give these an Auckland flavour. I asked her for her permission and she graciously agreed to let me do so. Thanks Natalie!
The cache is at the posted co-ordinates but you must comply with the rules to log this. (Any which do not risk being deleted).
Objective of the Challenge:
Can you imagine if you got paid to go Geocaching? That would be amazing right?? Different caches are worth different amounts of money and to log this cache you must have found at least $100,000. Your wages are based on what cache types you've found! So how do you know how much you've earned? Below is a list showing cache types, past and present. Cache types are roughly valued on rarity or difficulty, so a Wherigo cache, for example, will pay more than a Traditional as they're harder to come by. Here is what each cache type is worth:
$100 per Traditional Cache
$200 per Multi-Cache
$400 per Virtual Cache
$500 per Letterbox Hybrid
$300 per [standard] Event Cache (do not include other event types under this heading)
$400 per CITO Event
$500 per Mega-Event
$1000 for the Groundspeak Lost & Found Celebration
$1000 per Groundspeak Block Party
$300 per Mystery / Unknown / Puzzle / Challenge Cache
$900 for the Groundspeak HQ
$900 per Project A.P.E. Cache
$600 per Webcam Cache
$500 per Locationless (Reverse) Cache
$400 per Earthcache
$800 per GPS Adventures Exhibit
$600 per Wherigo Cache
$1000 per Giga Event
The Rules:
1. You must have qualified AND signed the physical container to claim this as a find. If you wish to 'find' this cache but do not yet qualify, write a note on this page and convert it to a smiley when you later qualify.
2. This Challenge Cache cannot count.
3. All finds count, past, present and future. So some geocachers may already qualify to claim this cache.
4. Finds still count even if the cache subsequently gets archived.
5. Found logs that don't qualify will be deleted.
6. Qualifying finds of finders who don't sign the physical log book will also be deleted. I will check the log book periodically.
7. Optional Extra - In your log, tell me if there is a story to go with how you earned these $$..
8. The Waymarks, Benchmarks not included. Only the types listed count are paid.
