South Germantown Recreational Park is one of Montgomery Parks’ most active parks. It’s frequently referred to simply as the SoccerPlex, but there’s much more than soccer to be found -- hiking, biking, archery, miniature golf, swimming, picnicking, baseball, softball, splashing, fishing … and geocaching! This short series will introduce you to some of the park’s highlights.
Complex ‘Plex 2 is near the tennis bubble and the indoor pool (which features an amazing waterslide, a waterfall, fun water features, and a hot tub). You're also a nearby stroll to mini-golf, splash park, and the Moo-seum (this was all farmland not too many generations ago and the museum celebrates the area's dairy and farming history).
This geocache should be a quick park & grab on most days ... unless there's a swim meet scheduled. On those days you may wish to park at one of the other nearby lots (there are many!) and walk over.
(Note that some of the park's parking lots may closed during COVID or for events but there are other nearby options. Or, park once and walk to several Complex 'Plex caches.)
