St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery
In 1903, the Hudson's Bay Company sold a small parcel of land for $12 to the Archiépiscopale Catholique Romaine de St. Boniface Diocese. In 1945, the Corporation made a “gift” of the land (for $1) to the Greek Catholic Parish of Mountain Road. Located at NE8-17-16 west of the Principal Meridian, in the Rural Municipality of Rosedale, one mile west of Mountain Road Church, this cemetery was the burial site for Ukrainian settlers in the region. White wooden crosses formerly marked the graves but, over the years, most decayed leaving the graves unmarked.
