Geocache Description:

This Wherigo was inspired by one of the first Wherigo caches we ever found, I ❤️ Paris (GC2JVJB).

The posted coordinates will take you to Haskell Plaza at Western Washington University. However, you can start your adventure anywhere on campus.

The Western Washington University outdoor sculpture collection began with the 1960 acquisition of James Fitzgeralds’s “Rain Forest”, now located near the Wade King Recreation Center. The collection has grown over the years and now includes more than 30 works by students, alumni, and some of the world's most eminent sculptors.

To learn the location of the hidden container you must discover at least five of those outdoor artworks. As you explore the campus, simply start up the Wherigo game whenever you come across a piece of art. The game will give you some information about the piece in front of you. Each piece is added to your inventory as you discover them, so you can go back and read the information later if you wish.

If the game doesn’t seem to recognize your location, try walking about 30 feet away, then slowly approach the artwork again. Be sure to save the game before continuing your campus exploration..

After you have found 5 pieces of outdoor sculpture, the final coordinates, hint, and completion code will be added to your Wherigo player inventory, and the final location will be added to your locations list. If you wish, you may continue to search for and add more artwork to your inventory. There are a total of 32 pieces of art on this tour.

You must sign the physical logbook in order to claim a find on this cache.

To play the Wherigo you need a player (GPS or smartphone app) and the I ❤️ WWU Art cartridge.

You can download the Wherigo cartridge to your GPS or smartphone here. To play on a smartphone, you will need a Wherigo player app, such as Wherigo for IOS or WhereYouGo for Android. To find out if your GPS supports Wherigo, see this forum thread.

You can find a map of the outdoor sculpture collection here
