Happy 20th Geocaching in Canada Anniversary!
The first geocache in Canada was registered on June 28, 2020, just outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia (GCBBA). This means that as this cache is placed today, June 28, 2020, it marks the 20th Anniversary of geocaching in Canada.
The cache is almost a park-n-grab, as it is just off of Bauline Line from the Torbay Bypass Road, at Great Pond. This night in June was appropriate for an anniversary celebration, as here at Great Pond it was peaceful and calm, with people out on the water having a paddle and throwing out a line.
The cache is a 500mL camo'd container with a fine load of swag.
