Locks Heath is the home of a collection of rare wildlife , which is as unusual as the Brazilian Rain Forest and Galapagos Islands. It is kept a secret for fear of poaching and muggling.
You are looking for the Lesser Known Nut Squirrel (latin name : Nutti kins) which is only found here and the Amazonian Slight Drizzle Forest. The female squirrel is about 10" tall with some white and yellow fur. When danger is near, the squirrel freezes and puts a large nut in its mouth. It looks very much like one of things you see on sale in garden centres after Christmas.. The female Nut Squirrel has now vanished and her younger cousin (and smaller - around 6") is now in residence. He's quite brown and rather shy.
Please take care when approaching and do not attract unwanted attention to its nest.
