We decided that it was time to give back to those who have placed caches in the Catskills over the years by providing some caches for them to find. We placed several caches on a hike that netted us the three Catskills 3500 peaks on the ridge on a gorgeous early summer day. However as we passed Black Dome on the way back from Thomas Cole, a thunderstorm popped up over Blackhead and simply sat there for a couple of hours. This one was placed during a brief lull in the rain, but Thor was continuing to throw lightning bolts around, though none struck near. The cache is a preform hidden a short distance from the trail.
