About the cache:
Scrambled signal? Hopefully not. Maybe the name will make more sense once found. The trail is fairly flat, but some gentle bushwhacking to the cache may be needed depending on your route (please be gentle!). If the cache is broken, a photo of what broke would be appreciated to speed up repairs.
About the area:
This cache will take you along a peaceful path near Bethany -- the walk is about 1 mile round trip. There is a nice veiwing platform along the way -- be sure to take a minute to stop. This area is open sunrise to sunset, 365 days per year, free of charge. CITO recommended if you can grab a bag before you leave the car. Pets must be leashed. In the right season, this area can be buggy -- both in terms of flies and ticks -- so come prepared.
[From DE Center for the Inland Bays]: The James Farm Ecological Preserve is an oasis of wildland on Indian River Bay, located just a short drive from Bethany Beach, Delaware on Cedar Neck Road in Ocean View.
From the sandy beach at low tide, you can walk the trails through seven distinctive habitats; from the salty flats of the low marsh with its salt marsh cordgrass and glasswort, through the shrubby high marsh with bayberry, marsh alder, and salt marsh hay, into the shade of the loblolly pines, holly and red cedar of the maritime forest, into the deep shade of the hardwood forest under a canopy of southern red oak, hickory, sweetgum, and sassafras, finally to emerge back into the sunshine in the meadows that were once farm fields.
