Welcome to the magical world of Harry Potter!
For those of you who have never read Harry Potter, here is a little introduction. Harry Potter is a series of eight books and the author is J. K. Rowling. In one sentence, Harry Potter is all about the magical school Hogwarts and the people, sports, places, and adventures within it.
This Geo-Art series involves the most popular sport in the wizarding world, and is taken very seriously at Hogwarts. Keep your eyes peeled for more Harry Potter series coming out later this year. Now, we are not going to explain this sport twice so pay attention. To play this sport each team needs 7 players,(3 Chasers, 2 Beaters, 1 Keeper, and 1 Seeker) and this game is played high in the air while flying on a broomstick. The game is played on a pitch, which is similar looking to a football field, and there are three hoops at either end of the pitch. The chaser's job is to throw the quaffle,(a red ball about the size of a football) into one of the goal posts while the keeper's job is to try and block the quaffle from going into his/her hoops. Every time the quaffle is scored, that team gets 10 points. Are you all with us so far? Then there are the beaters, whose job is to hit the two flying bludgers,(2 heavy black balls) away from their team mates with their bats, towards the other team to try and knock them off their broom. When someone gets hit by the bludger and falls off their broom onto the ground, they are out of the game. Finally, there is the seeker, who has the most challenging job of them all. They need to catch the golden snitch,(a very tiny golden ball with wings that is about the size of a walnut) to end the game and give their team an extra 150 points. That's it!! Now you know all about the most popular sport in the wizarding world!! Enjoy the series and have fun caching!!
