I spotted this location a while back as it was being cleared and the pump was given a lovely white coat of paint.
There are four water pumps in the Woodford Area:
- Johnston Road, near the old Post Office sorting office. (Which had a now archived cache)
- High Road, near Churchill Statue. (This cache)
- Chigwell Road, near M11bridge. (Victorian pump in Woodford Green 1# – GC34MW4)
- Chigwell Road, near recycling depot. (The Pen is mightier than the Pump – GC6EYPT)
As you can see there 3 currently active caches on these pumps.
This should be a quick find and there is some parking off the High Road near the Churchill statue. Don’t stop on the High Road.
