Your destination is Akoranga Reserve, Northcote
Parking available at the nearby YMCA (technically also on Akoranga Reserve).
Bring your gumboots! It can be muddy and slippery in winter or after rain.
Enter via steps or slope off Akoranga Drive (Other possible entrances are currently fenced off). Head to back of clearing, then through the bush along an informal path (if you can find it, otherwise bush-bash). Or follow along the stream.
On your journey you should encounvter a series of 3 wastewater and stormwater pipes of varying sizes. Go over the first, under the second, and find the cache at the third.
IMPORTANT: I recommend that you travel during the day as you will be travelling close to a bank edge alongside a stream. Keep alert at all times.
