A fantastic little sign marks this Carrington Ridge intersection. From this point you have 3 options:
- Head up to the historic signs at the .801 high point (0.8km)
- Head down to Gentle Annie Saddle (0.75km)
- Head down Carrington Ridge to the Mangatarere Valley
I normally complete this as a loop that begins by heading up to Holdsworth Lookout, along the ridge and down to Gentle Annie Saddle, up to the Carrington Intersection point, on to the historic signs at the .801 high point and then back down to the Holdsworth roadend via the Gentle Annie track, Murray’s Track or the Old Gentle Annie track. Lots of options!
The loop takes approximately 4hrs and there are a number of other caches to pick up on the way.
The cache is a small translucent round container. It contains a logbook and a few little fun items from the kids.
