Just a simple egg just waiting to be found.
This canal is a nice place for a walk. Hardly anyone is ever walking it and it's quite the workout if you walk the full length! If you haven't grabbed my other cache in the canal, it's a nice, quick walk from the parking there to this cache- about 1/2 mile round trip. There's an abundance of horse nettle along the banks, which is actually not a nettle, but a nightshade! It's quite poisonous, but it's very cute since the berries look like tiny watermelons. Aside from poisonous plants, there are also several very large fireant colonies on the path that runs on either side of the canal, but they're mostly harmless as long as you're not poking at them. :)
