A prominent feature on the skyline in Ulverstone is the imposing War Memorial Clock. It can be seen from all parts of the town, so much so that it has been gazetted as a Trig Point. This icon was completed in 1954 and has remained a focal point for the community.

About 20 years later an ex-Naval seaman, Bob Boyd was appointed the Supervisor of Parks and Gardens for the then Ulverstone Municipal Council (now Central Coast Council) and he had a vision of extending the memorial theme by creating parks dedicated to each of the armed services to remember ex-service men and women. Over time, five memorial parks were designed and constructed and these have become part of the identity of Ulverstone.
The Memorial Parks of Ulverstone Adventure Lab will take you to each of the parks. There is a single question to answer at each park and once completed successfully, you will be given the coordinates for the bonus cache.
