L’ampliamento della ciclovia della Valle Brembana permette di partire da Bergamo e giungere sino a Piazza Brembana.
L'opera è possibile attraverso il recupero di gran parte dell'ex sedime ferroviario che collegava dal 1906 al 1966 collegava l'Alta Valle con il centro città. Sul percorso infatti i ponti, le gallerie le opere ingegneristiche varie erano di uso esclusivo alla rete ferroviaria. A binario unico, con scartamento ordinario, elettrificata, ha garantito per 60 anni il trasporto di merci e persone.
La cache:
la Centrale Idroelettrica della contrada FONDERIA è una delle tante che si incontrano sul percorso della ciclovia e una delle tante che sono state realizzate in valle Brembana.
Il nome della località prende origine dalla presenza di una fucina settecentesca che produceva cannoni per l'arsenale di Venezia.
Per trovare la cache vi dovete allontanar di qualche centinaia di metri dal percorso ciclabile.
La piccola deviazione vi permette di andare a bagnarvi nelle acque del fiume Brembo.

The extention of the Brembana Valley Cycle Route allows you to start from Bergamo and reach Piazza Brembana.
The work done has seen the recovery of a large part of the former railway grounds that from 1906 to 1966 connected the Upper Valley with the city center.

The name of the hamlet originates from the presence of an eighteenth-century forge that produced guns for the Arsenal of Venice.
To find the cache, you have to move a few hundred meters away from the cycle path.
The small detour allows you to go to bathe in the waters of the Brembo river.
