From the Meiji era to the beginning of the Showa era, water mills were used for rice milling and rice. Its a restored water wheel.

復元された水車のしみずや跡です。
谷津田川流域には明治時代より昭和初めまで精米（米つき）をはじめとする水車が数多く存在しました。
