Geocache Description:


We have visited every covered bridge in New Brunswick, and we hope that every bridge will have a geocache to find. History of the area where the covered bridge is located: Dumbarton Parish was created in 1856. It was named for the town of Dumbarton, Scotland. Located 4.53 km SE of Watt Junction: Dumbarton Parish, Charlotte County: included the settlement of Goss's Corner: Post Office Dumbarton 1852-1865: Post Office Dumbarton Station 1857-1874 and 1877-1963: in 1871 Dumbarton was a farming settlement and station on the New Brunswick and Canada Railway and had a post office and a population of 200. The total population of 335 in 2016 with 195 dwellings. The bridge was built in 1928 and has a length 23.2m (76')   Congrats to dracula476 for FTF.
Directions to the covered bridge: Route 1, Exit 25, Route 127 north for 19.3 km (12 mi.), on to Tyron Road.
