Geocache Description:

I have driven by this location many times in my life and lived near to here before this was a park and actually part of the road which connected Dunkeld Avenue with Scott Street, before Scott was connected with Canal Road.

Now, this is the location of Marie Curie Park, a scientist known for her contributions to science along with her husband, Pierre.

Although she was Polish by birth, Marie had dual citizenship, which she shared with France, through marriage.

I will not go into too much detail about her accomplishments, which the posted coordinates will enlighten you upon...however, this park was dedicated to her on May 3, 1993, in an effort in which St. Catharines was creating more green spaces.

In order to find the cache, go to the posted coordinates and you will find a plaque. Read the plaque, and take the sum of all the 4 digit years mentioned on the plaque and then calculate it's average.  Now, divide your answer by 1000, and add to the following coordinates:

N43 09.471

W79 10.164

You are looking for a small container with enough room for a little bit of swag.

Enjoy the walk, and the history lesson and as always,

Have fun and happy caching!
