ENG: The cashe is hidden in the vicinity of the milestone that show the trail toward Skorpion Monument projected by the Polish sculptor Władysław Kuźniarz. Skorpion Monument is the original American tank used by a Polish crew during the last battle for Monte Cassino Abbey, in the second WW. Over the tank carcass it was erected a cross made from the original track of the Skorpion Tank, on which it is stucked the bronze Polish Regiment symbol. The tank was destroyed by a German antitank mine in the morning of 12 May 1944 killing the entire crew of 4. All the 4 Polish soldiers were buried in the Polish Cemetery in the vicinity of the Abbey.
ITA: La scatola è scondita vicino alla pedra che mostra il camino para il monumento Skorpion. Il monumento è stato progettato dallo scultore Władysław Kuźniarz. Sulla carcassa fu piantata una croce creata con i cingoli dei carri armati su cui poggiano due lastre di bronzo e due scorpioni, sempre in bronzo, simbolo del reggimento. Il carro armato esplose su un fascio di mine tedesche collegate tra loro la mattina del 12 maggio 1944 e tutti e 4 i carristi polacchi morirono.
