Dedicated to St Martin, the church is Grade II listed. Built in 1762-3 by J Warner of Caistor using medieval masonry, externally it is plain, pedestrian, but pleasant. Inside its white painted interior with apsidal east end, is sparse. Sadly all the 18th century furnishings, except the bird bath font, were removed in a restoration of 1888. North Owersby is a working farming village situated equidistance between Market Rasen in the South and the Roman town of Caistor to the North and on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Historically the area was once owned by Lord Monson's Estate, later being sold to Squire Angerstein and eventually sold to Mrs Boynton. Over time, this was sold to the various villagers and farmers who reside here today.
We hope that you enjoy the tranquil setting of this church.
Now for the puzzle before you go searching for the cache, which is a 35mm film canister.
