This cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. Make sure you choose the right Adventure Lab as there is another one here; we published both of ours on the same day. You must complete the Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum Adventure Lab in order to get the coordinates to the bonus cache. The bonus cache is not located in the cemetery but just a short drive to a preserve nearby. The staff gave me permission to do the adventure lab because the tours have been discontinued due to COVID-19. The adventure lab highlights some of the more funny, unique, surprising, and sentimental markers located in the cemetery. The staff are wonderful and even helped me with finding one of the funny markers I hightlighted in the adventure lab; I stumbled on it while doing another cache located here a few years back.

There is so much to see in this cemetery. The old part of the cemetery is located near the administrative buildings, chapels, and mausoleums towards the front gate off Spring Grove Avenue. The new section is located towards the back and it is interesting to see how the advance in technology has changed how monuments, headstones, and footstones look and are created. While the adventure lab is only 5 locations long, I hope you take time to roam about, enjoy the grounds, and look inside some of the individual mausoleums as there are some beautiful stained-glass windows and other surprises that I will let you discover on your own. Some of the research for the adventure lab was obtained from Phil Nuxhall's book, "Stories in the Grove".  Yes, he is the son of the former Cincinnati Reds left-hander, Joe Nuxhall, and has done a lot of work to bring out the stories of this wonderful place.

At each location, you will receive information to complete the coordinates for the Bonus Cache. When you complete the whole adventure, you can go back into the app, scroll down the page to find "View 5 Journal Entries" and the clues will be listed in case you've missed any.  The bonus cache is just a short drive from the cemetery; I included a waypoint for the parking area to help with driving directions.

I upped the terrain rating as the short descent to the cache can be quite slippery after a rain, snow, or when the leaves have fallen.  Watch your step!!

Please make sure you close the latch to the container tightly.
